Last week Microsoft Dynamics GP partners took over downtown Fargo for an early reIMAGINE 2015 in September rather than the traditional November. reIMAGINE is a premier event for Dynamics GP partners to share ideas, form partnerships and get the latest details about the road ahead for the Microsoft Dynamics GP product.

GP2016 Sneak Peeks
Of all the top highlights at reIMAGINE, the sneak peeks at some of the new features and functionality in the upcoming release of Dynamics GP2016 caused the most excitement. You can check out the post above to learn more details about the new release, but the new html5 web client will make mobile and cloud interfacing more seamless than ever and it is creating a lot of buzz within the GP channel.
The Cloud
Big surprise… a lot of the talk at reIMAGINE was centered on cloud. Dynamics GP cloud services are an increasing important part of the life of Dynamics Partners. From making O365 and CRM Online part of your SMB offering, to Azure deployments and Dedicated Dynamics Hosting, Microsoft covered more of everything to do with cloud and GP at reIMAGINE. You can learn more about growing your cloud practice on our Cloud Dynamics Partners Page.
Dynamics at the core of Microsoft
The cloud has caused major disruptions throughout the Microsoft Dynamics channel, but Microsoft leadership at reIMAGINE 2015 made it repeatedly clear that Dynamics GP and other ERP solutions are still core to where Microsoft is heading in the cloud era. As end users are increasingly looking for cloud based solutions, the many changes like the html5 web client will keep Dynamics GP at the leading edge of enterprise accounting and planning software in the cloud. Microsoft has always depended on its partner network to sell and deliver its products and the cloud won’t stop that, but the industry will continue to change for a few years because of cloud and mobile.
What’s next?
We already mentioned GPUG Summit in Reno, October 13-16. This is another great event for GP Partners and is also open to GP customers. Later in October (25th-28th) there will be the premier NAV event, NAV Directions 2015.
