The Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 release date is set for April 2016. A reIMAGINE presentation today listed some of the new GP 2016 features to expect, along with a new product roadmap through 2017.

Import/Export SmartLists from Designer
In GP 2016, the user will be able to shave a little time off reporting with the functionality to export and import SmartList definitions created with a SmartList Designer from one install to another. Click the image to enlarge.
SmartLists from Favorites
This feature reduces mouse-click in routine processes by allowing users to create a new SmartList from a favorite using Designer. Users will find it more convenient to not have to remove all of the extra columns from the default SmartList.
Power BI Reports on Home Page
Get a quick snap shot of the data you care about most with this features that allows users to see Power BI Reports right from their home page.
Export numbers to Excel formatted as Numubers
Now numbers that are exported from Excel will be formatted as a number rather than text.
Budget Import Exception Report
When importing a budget from excel an exception report will print and display accounts that are setup in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016.
Workflow Reassignment Notifications
This feature gives the user more control. eMail notifications can be sent to the new approver for:
- Delegation
- Escalation
- Alternate approval
Https support for MR
Microsoft GP 2016 will give users the ability to deploy Management Reporter for https access. This allows users to access reports over secure https communication.
Sales All-in-One Document View
This feature allows users to view all related sales documents for a single transaction in one window. This can be accessed from Customer Maintnance, many sales inquiry windows, navigation lists and the home page. Like all of the Microsoft Dynamics products, GP is a cloud ready, mobile ready solution.
